Hailing All Falcons

The Manatee Ball is an inexpensive, casual, Island-themed evening of silly shirts, good music, dancing, free food and drinks and some tasty raffle prizes. Mostly it's about seeing old friends, swapping stories and staying up past our bedtimes. Y'all come.

In addition, we are trying to assemble a Memorial List for all the Fallen Falcons. If you know of classmates who have flown on to their rewards, please E-mail me with name, class, date of death, cause, memories, any details you'd like to see posted for all of us to remember.

Greetings! Bill Sadler calling from the past --1965. I have been planning a Falcon Flock for 24 April 2010. Due to budgetary restraints, I have been trying to get the word out through e-mail, Facebook and Classmates. So far, the response has been tepid.

I know it is early and April seems a long way off. It's easy to say, "I'll look at this next month." But, for planning purposes, logistics, reservations, deposits, music and food, (in other words -- for me) time is slipping away.

If you are planning to attend, don't know if you can make it or if you know for sure you can't be there, please let me know.

I desperately need to know if we have enough interest to proceed. I can't afford to spend all my time planning for a handful of people, no matter how much I'd like to see you all.

So, I'm asking for some help. Please forward this message to all your Fine Falcon Friends and ask them to send it on. Even if you can't make it, help your friends by spreading the word. Those of you who are on Facebook, My Space, ect., please post/contact Falcons there. Put a note in your next letter. Call a friend you miss and invite them to hook up once again.

               Thanks, Bill Sadler

Hailing all Falcons- April 2010 Flock

Bill Sadler here, FHHS Class of 1965, Judy Scott and I are planning another Falcon Flock for April of 2010. If we get enough interest, we'll have Manatee Ball Two. Those of you who attended Manatee Ball One remember what a great time we all had. I've booked the same band, Viva!, who gave us all the great 60s rock&roll.

MB2 is casual, tropical, silly and socially & environmentally friendly. We'll have the same great raffles on some awesome goodies. All the proceeds will be donated to Save the Manatee. MB1 raised enough money that we were able to send an educator's packet to every science teacher in every elementary school in Palm Beach County! Catch those kids early and we've made them aware for life. As Old-Florida natives, it's the right thing to do.

So join me next year to see your old friends, have great fun and do some good. For registration details please drop me a note at ManateeBall2@Yahoo.com  (Don't forget the "2") I'll update you as soon as the details are set in concrete.

We especially need donations for our raffles and cash to help with start up expenses. Anything you can do to help will be appreciated and acknowledged.

Spread your wings, see you next year, Bill

We do not have the time to contact each of you individually and, with the postage increases, we don't have the funds to mail notices. If we are to have a great reunion, we ask each of you to forward this message to every Falcon on your list. Even if you can't attend yourself, you can help your fellow Falcons to make an informed choice.

Last, and sadly, we acknowledge that we are all getting older. Since our last reunion, the class of 65 has lost more than a half dozen friends. If you know of a Fallen Falcon, please send us all the details you have. The '65 reunion committee is gathering a list of 60s Falcons so all of us will know where are classmates are.
