After Graduating from FHHS in 1963, I Attended the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill earning a BA Degree in 1968. I then went on to earn a Masters in 1971, and a Ph. Degree in 1974 also at UNCCH.

I taught High School for four years after graduating with a Masters in a teaching program. I was too liberal for that job so I went back to UNCCH to work on a post graduate degree and college teaching. I started playing in a band during college and played through my graduate days. Finally music won out over education and I never wrote my dissertation,  much to my Mom's disappointment.
 

I was a full time musician for almost 20 years. In 1983 I started my own company,

selling gourmet foods wholesale to upscale restaurants in central NC. I also live on a farm and sell beef cattle.

In 1996, I started traveling to Asia  and in 1998, I fell in love with Thailand. I have a Thai partner. We have been together for 12 years, No kids but he has a Thai niece and nephew that we both adore.
I bought several houses on the same road, started a Guest house,

 Located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Restaurant with my Thai partner. He takes care of the operation when I am back in America.
